About our Founder
Merci Accounting was founded by Sue, an experienced nonprofit accountant with over 20 years of serving churches and mission-driven organizations.
With both undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting, Sue has built her career around helping nonprofits maintain accurate, transparent financial records, from day-to-day bookkeeping to audit preparation.
She is especially passionate about helping organizations move from disorganized or overwhelming financial situations to clean, compliant, and sustainable systems aligned with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
At the core of her work is a commitment to integrity, honesty, and faithful stewardship, ensuring that every dollar is accounted for and used as intended.
In addition to her work with Merci Accounting, Sue continues to serve her local church and is pursuing a certificate in Biblical counseling. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her two Maltese dogs.
Past & Current Clients
“Merci Accounting and Sue rescued Redeemer Presbyterian Church from a flailing accounting system. We are a small church and many processes were still on pieces of paper or managed exclusively by the pastor.
Sue digitized our systems, helped us implement a spend program, built size-appropriate accountability systems, and made our budgeting easy. Thanks Sue for a great job the last 3 years!”

(Retired pastor, Redeemer Church, Parker CO)
“After Sue served as our Accounting Manager for three years, we were pleased that she agreed to continue in a consulting role to help us through our accounting services transition.
Sue has a solid understanding of the dynamics and unique challenges of large church and non-profit accounting and operations. I would recommend her to any non-profit organization seeking experienced accounting support."

I worked with Sue for about 13 years in my role as a church administrator. During that time, it was obvious to me that Sue is an expert in her field. She is a person of unquestioned integrity, has an excellent work ethic and is dedicated to providing the highest quality work products. She is a pleasure to work with and communicates in a friendly and effective manner. She receives my highest recommendation!
